Access keys consist of an Access Key (AK) and a Secret Key (SK). These account-level credentials authenticate SDKs, CLIs, and other tools that require AK/SK.
AK/SK are different from the API keys used to call models in Model Inference. For model requests, use a model API key, not AK/SK.

Procedure

  1. Sign in to the console, open the account menu in the upper-right corner, and select Account Settings.
  2. Open Security. In the Access keys (AK / SK) section, generate a key pair.
  3. Follow the page instructions to obtain the AK and SK, and save them in a trusted credential manager.

Security considerations

  • Do not include AK/SK in public repositories, container images, logs, screenshots, or shared documents. Do not expose them in browser-side code. Even if the console lets you display a key, supply credentials to applications through environment variables or a credential manager rather than hardcoding them in source code.
  • Before replacing AK/SK, identify the applications and automated tasks that use the existing credentials. Plan how to configure and verify the new credentials to avoid authentication failures and service interruptions.
