Reinstalling the system is a high-risk operation. After the system is reinstalled, data on the CES instance system disk will be deleted and cannot be recovered. Before reinstalling, ensure that any data you need to retain has been backed up.

Pre-Operation Confirmation

  • If the instance has a GPFS file system mounted, confirm whether reinstalling the operating system will affect the mount configuration.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the GPU Cloud console and go to the Instance page.
  2. On the GPU Instance or CPU Instance tab, locate the instance whose operating system needs to be reinstalled.
  3. Click More Actions in the instance Actions column, and select Reinstall System.
  4. In the confirmation dialog box, review the instance information and risk notice, then confirm the reinstallation.
