# View Image Usage Statistics

> View how images are used by workloads such as training tasks, development environments, general services, and LLM inference in image governance.

Image usage statistics help you analyze image use across workloads and clusters, determine whether an image is still in use, identify its users, and decide whether to keep it.

## View Usage Statistics

1. Go to **Images > Image Governance**.
2. On the **Usage Statistics** tab, select a cluster or workload type, or enter an image name.
3. Click **Search**.

After searching, review the results based on your governance objective and decide whether to keep, replace, or delete the image:

| Objective | Information to review | Recommended action |
| - | - | - |
| Determine current usage | The **Active Workloads** column. | View the number of workloads currently using the image by workload type. If any workloads are still using it, replace the workload image or stop the relevant workloads before deleting it. |
| Evaluate whether to retain an image | Total usage count, last used time, and image size. | For images that have not been used for a long time and consume substantial space, consider the current usage and confirm with the team before cleaning them up. |
| Understand usage distribution | Workload usage count and cluster usage count. | Understand the cumulative usage of the image across workload types, such as development environments, training tasks, general services, and LLM inference, as well as across clusters. |
| Contact users | User details. | Before deleting a shared image, confirm that the relevant users no longer depend on it. |

Platform images typically have the `preset/` or `custom/` prefix to distinguish preset images from custom images. Public images typically show the image URL or image name directly.
