# View GPFS File System Monitor

> Learn how to view capacity and performance monitoring data for GPFS file systems.

You can view monitoring data for GPFS file systems to check the status of file system capacity, inodes, throughput, latency, and the number of I/O operations. When viewing GPFS file system monitoring, select **Xstor** under **Resource Type**.

## View Monitor Data

1. Log in to the [GPU Cloud console](https://console.scitix.ai/gpu-cloud/home) and go to **OBSERVABILITY > Monitor**.

2. Select **Xstor** for **Resource Type**.

3. Select a region and the target resource.

4. Select a time range.

5. View monitoring charts.

GPFS file system monitoring includes the following metric groups:

   | Group | Metrics | Description |
   | - | - | - |
   | Capacity Summary | FileSystem Capacity, FileSystem Inode | View file system capacity and inode status. |
   | Performance Summary | Read/Write Throughput, Read IO Latency (with queue), Write IO Size, WriteIO Latency (with queue), IO Operations Count (OPS) | View read/write throughput, read/write latency, write I/O size, and I/O operation count. |

If the chart displays **No data**, check whether the resource and time range are correct.

6. To retrieve the latest data, click **Refresh**.

When viewing metrics, focus on trends in capacity, inodes, read/write throughput, read/write latency, and the number of I/O operations. When troubleshooting storage access issues, consider the mount status, client task logs, and alarm history together.
