# Renew instance

> Learn how to renew one or more subscription-based CES instances.

If a Subscription instance is nearing expiration, you can renew the instance to extend its usage period. You can renew a single instance or renew multiple instances in batches.

## Pre-Action Confirmation

* Renewal incurs charges. Before proceeding, confirm the renewal period and pricing information.
* Bulk renewal affects multiple instances at the same time. Before proceeding, confirm the scope of instances.
* If an instance has expired or is in an abnormal billing status, confirm whether it can still be renewed.

## Procedure

1. Log in to the [GPU Cloud console](https://console.scitix.ai/gpu-cloud/home) and go to the **Instance** page.

2. On the **GPU Instance** or **CPU Instance** tab, select the Subscription instances that you want to renew:
   * Renew a single instance: Click ![More Actions](https://mintcdn.com/scitix-adfc65c2/zAestxkyOFggIEE8/gpu-cloud/media/more.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=zAestxkyOFggIEE8\&q=85\&s=bb1ebd3cf1c1edbfdbc505e869727132) in the Actions column of the instance, then select **Renew**.
   * Renew multiple instances: Select multiple instances, click ![More Actions](https://mintcdn.com/scitix-adfc65c2/zAestxkyOFggIEE8/gpu-cloud/media/more.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=zAestxkyOFggIEE8\&q=85\&s=bb1ebd3cf1c1edbfdbc505e869727132) in the action area at the bottom, and then select **Renew**.

3. Select a renewal period and confirm the pricing information.

4. Submit the renewal.

5. Return to the instance list to view the instance renewal status.

## FAQ

> **Why can't I find the renewal option?**
>
> The renewal option depends on the instance billing method and status. If you do not see **Renew**, first confirm that the instance is a Subscription instance and that its status supports renewal.
