# Manage Cluster Resources Using Namespaces

> Create namespaces by team, project, or environment, view the resources they contain, and safely delete namespaces that are no longer in use.

Namespaces are used to organize and isolate workloads, configurations, and storage claims within the same CKS cluster. You can divide namespaces by team, project, or runtime environment, and then create the relevant Kubernetes resources in the corresponding namespaces.

## Create a Namespace

1. Log in to the [GPU Cloud console](https://console.scitix.ai/gpu-cloud/home) and go to the **Clusters** page.
2. Click the name of the target cluster to open the cluster workspace.
3. In the left navigation pane, go to the **Namespace** page and then click **Create**.
4. Enter a namespace name.
5. To identify resource ownership or environments, enter the key and value in **Labels**.
6. Submit the request and confirm that the namespace status is Active.

## View Namespaces and Their Resources

1. On the **Namespace** page, locate the target namespace and click **View** in the **Actions** column.

2. Verify that the namespace status, labels, and number of workloads are as expected.

The number of workloads can help determine whether the namespace is still serving business workloads. Before deleting the namespace, also verify whether it contains any workloads, configurations, or PVCs that need to be retained.

3. In the **Workloads in This Namespace** section, click the corresponding card to go to the **Workloads** page and view the workloads in the namespace.

## Delete Namespace

> [!WARNING]
>
> Deleting a namespace deletes the Kubernetes resources within it. Before proceeding, ensure that the namespace contains no workloads, configurations, or storage claims that still need to be retained, and back up or migrate any data that must be kept.

1. On the **Namespace** page, locate the target namespace.
2. In the **Actions** column, click **Delete**.
3. Confirm the deletion.
