# Change your login password

> Change your account password, check password requirements, and find help if you have forgotten your current password.

Organization administrators and members can both change their own login passwords. You must provide your current password to make the change.

> If you have forgotten your current password, ask an organization administrator to reset it. For administrator instructions, see [Reset a user's password](https://docs.scitix.ai/account/account-management/manage-users.md#reset-a-users-password).

## Procedure

1. Sign in to the console, open the account menu in the upper-right corner, and verify that you are using the intended account.

2. Select **Account Settings** and open **Security**.

3. In the password section, enter your current password and a new password.

   * Use 8～40 characters, including uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters (`!@#$%^&?`).
   * Choose a password you do not use for other services, and store it securely.

4. Submit the password update. If validation fails, correct the indicated fields and submit again. Check the result shown on the page to confirm that the password was updated.

Use the new password for subsequent password-based sign-ins.
